View recent work

You’ve worked hard to create something beautiful. Thoughtful interior photography captures the light, atmosphere and detail of a space, creating imagery you can confidently share with clients, publications and future projects.

Based in Perthshire, I photograph interiors across Edinburgh, Fife and beyond for designers, architects, property developers and holiday home owners

some recent Interior Projects from across scotland

Beautiful interior photography helps designers, architects and property owners present their work with clarity and confidence. Carefully composed imagery captures the light, atmosphere and detail of a space, allowing projects to be shared with clients, publications and future collaborators.

Whether documenting a newly completed interior, a holiday home ready to welcome guests, or a design project prepared for editorial submission, thoughtful photography ensures the character and craftsmanship of the space is communicated clearly.

Strong interior imagery is not simply about photographing a space, but about understanding the story behind the design — the balance between form, function and creativity that your team has worked so carefully to achieve.

With a background in the design industry, each project is approached with an eye for architectural detail, composition and atmosphere, ensuring the finished images reflect the intention and craft behind the space.

For designers, architects, property developers and holiday home owners, this means working with a photographer who understands both the visual language of design and the importance of representing your work with clarity and care.

Projects are photographed across Edinburgh, Perthshire Fife and throughout Scotland.

Get In Touch

Katie takes the time to get clarity on what you want and need from a session with her, so I felt really reassured going into the shoot that she understood what I was looking for.  And as a bonus...she is just the loveliest person to spend a day with!

Danni - Danielle Simpson Interiors

"She has an incredible eye and I couldn't be happier with the way she captured my work."

Interior photography plays an important role in showcasing the work behind a completed project. For interior designers and architects, high quality imagery becomes part of a professional portfolio and marketing material that helps attract future clients.

Property developers and holiday home owners also rely on carefully captured photography to communicate the atmosphere and experience of a space. Thoughtful imagery allows potential guests, buyers or collaborators to connect with the character of a property before they even step inside.

INTERIOR PHOTOGRAPHY FOR BUSINESSES IN EDINBURGH AND SCOTLAND

Hi, I’m Katie, before becoming a photographer I worked as an interior designer, and that design background now shapes the way I photograph spaces.

I understand how much thought goes into materials, light, layout and craftsmanship, and my aim is always to capture those details with clarity and care.

The result is a collection of refined images that showcase the atmosphere and design of a space, and strengthen the way your work is presented.

"You paid careful attention to the mood of the shots. We had a collaborative approach to capturing the details which really suited me as I had a vision of what I wanted.  I'm delighted with them all, You've really caught the story of the house and managed to capture a really poetic quality within each vignette. It even more impressive as we couldn’t have had a darker day!"

Let's dig deeper and answer any questions you have about working with an interior photographer.......

Frequently asked questions

How long will it take to get my images?

You will receive some 'highlight' images the day after the shoot to let you see how the final gallery will look, once these are approved you will receive the full gallery with all the images within 2 weeks.  You will be able to create your own favourite and even have the option to upgrade to download all the images..

Do I need to prep the space before you arrive?

It is best if the space is ready to be photographed when I arrive.  I’ll send a simple prep guide ahead of the shoot, this is very useful to pass on to your clients.
On the day, I refine small details, cushions, angles, curtains, to make sure everything photographs beautifully.

Can you help us style the space?

Can you help us style the
space?

Yes this is an add-on service, before your session we will discuss what props are required and make sure they will appeal to your ideal client.  Adding props and styling really adds to the story telling in the final images.

What if the weather is bad?

Natural light is really important for interior photography.
Cloudy days are usually perfect, but very dark or rainy/ stormy days can be challenging.
If the space won’t photograph well on the day, we can reschedule.
